when i can't communicate in the same language easily, i try to speak very slowly, sometimes if the person do not understand yet, i try to draw pictures or act...

It's very funny when you try to communicate with someone with different languages, actually i have a friend from United States and i practice with her and she practice with me her spanish..... we communicate speaking slowly... it's fun.

When I met Bridget

When I met Bridget, I doesn´t had any idea how difficult it would communicate with her.

She is a foreign sister. She was born in Portland in the United States.

When I talked to her one of the most difficult barriers was the language.

The first months we communicated through a bilingüal person, then through drawings, hand signals, facial expressions and often use the bilingüal dictionary when we did not understand.

She told me that it was difficult to speak and understand Spanish and I thought the same of English, but there are also things that she quickly learned how our customs, dances, traditions and so on.

She loves our food especially the chicharron. Sometimes  she misses her country and family but people love the comfort.

Today she speaks  fluent spanish and I am learning english.

Knowing her was a wonderful experience in my life.

Another good way to communicate with people when you do not understand

very well the language is through facial expressions or body

also drawing is a good way, the translator is the best way but if you don't have money

to pay the translator .please don't try to communicate. but you can use the

modes of communication of deaf mutes with the fingers forming words

or phrases . the most common when some people try to communicate

they scream or speak very loudly, but in my opinion I think the best way is

by drawing or looking figures that relates to what I want to say

In my opinion, when i can´t communicate with another people, there´s such a language barrier, but I can try to communicate with facial expresions and gestures and I usually to improve english language; but when I speak english with american people I usually told them that they should speak clearly and slow, because when they speak really fast I can´t understand.
It´s really fun to speak english with american people but, i feel shy because i think that some people could make fun of my pronunciation.

THE WORST BARRIER IN A TRIP!!

When you travel to other country, you need to know its language, for one thing, you could lost if the country is big and you don't know the streets. For another, when you need to pay anything you couldn't know how. But you can draw scenes or try to communicate with gestures and facial expressions, that's sound funny XD. For example, I want to visit France, but I don't know french. Before I travel to France, I need to study something of French. As soon as I arrive to France, I'm going to go to Eiffel Tower, some friends say that place is so interesting =).

Sometimes we can't communicate with the people because we can't understand their language. well, so we must find the solution : we can to use our hands to point the things that we want to say, we can to use our gestures to express our emotions , sometimes also use motion our head to affirm or deny something . but when don't know the meaning of certain words is useful the dictionary or we may want to draw things to say or explain in a way that is easy to understand.
when it is very difficult to understand us , we can teach our language and we can teach to speak in our language.

I never traveled out of my country but i studied tourism and i work with foreign people, so i can understand some people when they aren't in their country and they not only miss their family also they can't tocomunicate with anyone in any place or keep a flowing conversation, so sad, right? Well i think the most important is be patient, you have to try to the other person understand you because it can help you to get some thing or know some thing or go some place, but when are you who don't understand to the other person i think if you make some gestures you can get the other understands you, it might be more easy if you know some words of this languaje or if you have a dictionary in your hands or finally you can do pictures, with this is impossible that the other person don't understands you!
If you are going to travel to another country or if you are going to work with foreign peolpe it's very important to learn foreigns languajes i know that is a little expensive, a little hard and you are not going to have a lot of free time but believe me, it is going to help very much!!!!

First of all in a conversation, you must speak slowly and clearly. If you are not 100% sure you’ve understood what others say, politely ask for clarification. Use gestures and facial expressions can be useful too.
When you want to learn a foreign language, music can be a very effective method for me. Actually, there are several internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, it's better.
Also, you can use the dictionary or make questions to your classmates about the words that you don’t understand. You may practice grammar, vocabulary and do exercises too; well you can improve your knowledge of any language.
Finally, you don't worry that you don't say things correctly. The fastest way to learn anything is to do it, again and again until you get it right. Like anything, learning foreign language requires practice. Don't let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.

Well,when i travel to italy i hope seak very well this language,but if i don't know how to do it.
In the first place I have to buy a dictionary or an electronic dictionary,well my friends told me that with this electronic dictionary I can learn a lot of words in a short time so I prefer to buy this item than others,but If in this time I don't have much money to pay it.I can write a signboard that says CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? BECAUSE I MUST FIND A HOTEL TO SPEND THE NIGHT!!!!!!! PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!!!!!
Well if this fails I can looking for the embassy from my country but even i can't communicate with them,but a great option would be use gestures or facial expressions.
In the second I have to be comprensive with them because i can look a crazy saying words that they don't know or worse they can say the police that i want to stole them it'd be a big problem because i can go to jail xD, well i think i must be friendly to be more acepted and learn all their habits and costumes!!!!

when you decide to travel to another countries outside your country, you should learn languages before traveling. or practice basic phrases to communicate because as soon you arrives at this country, you'll find a languages barrier. and after that you 'll fell frustrate. but there some solution that you can follow .
when you can't communicate in the same language, you must try to communicate with gestures and facial expressions or write what you mean because maybe this person can't understand your pronunciation. it's important watch movies or listen music in the same language that you are learning. i think it's a strategy that can help to enrich the language that you are learning. i always work with those strategies, for example while i listen music in english, i associate my vocabulary with the letter of the music

I think when you travel to another country the communication is difficult in some opportunities but not imposible.

For example , when I travel to Cusco , I visited my grandmother's houses .

In this place nobody could speak spanish very well because everybody usually speak Quechua

At the first I didn't have idea about how communicate, so I decided to try to communicate with gestures and facial expressions.

Also I went to the library to buy a Quechua - Spanish dictionary.
It helped me to understand a lot of words.

Also , when I didn't understand any situation I drew some pictures about it.

This travel was a great experience to know this interesting languages.
After that , I learned some words and I was planning to study Quechua because I think all peruvian people have to speak this traditional language.

When you travel to another place is typical to encounter a language barrier and also feel frustrated for that, don’t worry because it’s possible to find the way to resolve these problems.
Before you travel could be better that you research for common phrases you can use when you arrive to the place you want, because in many places you can find rude and impolite people who maybe don´t want to help you , and that is not going to be a nice experience to tell.
If you want to communicate with someone who doesn’t speak your language, it’s important to make facial expressions and gestures, I think is the most usual because many of gestures are international and well-known. Speaking clearly and slowly can help; you could also use pictures or a dictionary to show you want to say.

Well,there is a lot of forms for communicate when you travel to other countries the people are different ,first of all you have to find other ways to live with them because they have other customs or habits and second of all you have to be friendly with them . If in the future I decide to travel to China and if I don't know speak mandarin chinese maybe I can use a portable board for draw pictures that I want to say but I don't know how or maybe I can use a paper but,I think it's better if I use a board.
After I arrive to China ,I'll get an interpreter because if I don't do that maybe I'm going to lose for all the country =D.I know that the interpreter is not to be with me all the time for example ,as soon as I arrive to China ,I'm going to visit the museams,cultural centers and other typical places there ,I have to use the board or a dictionary with the pronunciation finally if there is an extreme situation and I can't communicate with them I could use gestures and facial expressions I think it's going to be funny!...xP

when you will go foreign country! mabe it can be the best experience or the worst experience in your life!!!...if you don't know the foreign lengauge, don't worry..!! you can find the solution for it. As sonn as you arrive a foreing place,you should buy a diccionary and you can find many expressions and while you read the new expressions,you have to memorize the new idea. if you can`t comunicate you can make signs and gestures!!!It will be easy ! and you will see the people can understand to you !I remember 2 years ago I met a boy very handsome, he is from England. when he arrived to peru he only speaks english,so after he came his house . The people have talked another language! oh.. what problem ! so the family thought in something! so while he wait in his bedroom! he draw some pictures and after that was more easy communcate with him!!! because he learned very fast the words in spanish!

If you are thinking to travel to another country or continent, but you don’t speak very well some foreign language, you will create a language barrier between people from the country that you are going to visit and you, so what can we do in these kind of situations?
You have many options to solution this hard problem, I f you travel alone and you know some about the language, try to speak slowly and more clearly, then people may understand you what are you talking about, but if you know nothing about that language, you are in serious problems, well you could hire a person to be your translator, that’s ok if you have money to hire, but if you don’t have you might use pictures or gestures and facial expressions, or maybe you could draw, it doesn’t usually work, but It’s an option, to avoid this problem you have to prepare since you plan your trip, you have to learn the language and the costumes, it’s another hard problem, of the country that you will visit.

When we decide to travel to another country for resons of relaxion, tourism or business times, we must take into account many things to avoid problems especially in language.

You should keep a dictionary reference to the foreign language because there you can find many common phrases thata may help you with a small conversation.

There are also travel agencies when you offer a guide that helps you translate what other people say. You can also wear a portabe translator who can help in language. You can lead to many problems if you don't know speak the foreign language.

It's important speak english with other persons because the english is the second language more speak in the world an you can understand the person.

Something that is enough help that months before your trip, you study common phrases or whole language of the country you want to go so that you go well prepared an not have problems with the language.

Another suggestion is that you can try to communicate with gestures an facial expressions.

Finally, you should go to another country with a friend who knows the language and can be with you, besides the trip would be more fun.

NOWADAYS COMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT !!!

One day, I was founded in a big city and I asked for help to someone and I was surprissed! because that person didn t speak my same language. So, I intented to comunicate with gestures, it worked well with us. Also, I used pictures to show my ideas. That person was very patient with me. Sometimes we run into on line and we have fun when we remind that experience!!
I think the comunication is really important nowadays! So, if you want to visit other country, first of all you have to learn its language and then you will have most opportunities.
Now, I studying other language and if I want to improve my language skills I have to use a good dictionary. Also, I have to listen to music and watch movies about this language and I have to practice a lot!!!

When we go to another country and know new people communicate is so dificult for this reason is important to learn others languages or some importants words for example "hello", "thank you" or "good bye".
I remmenber two years ago I worked in a photographer center, my boss was a Korean so he could speaks in spanish and all understand him but he had a son and he didn´t speak spanish.
We try to communicate with gestures but it´s no was easy, he bought a notebook and sometimes when I couldn´t understand he draw.
After 1 month he could understand some words but him pronunciation was very funny for this reason he spoke slowly.

When you decide to travel to another place outside your country, as countries or Eastern Europe to take a break and maybe to work or study, it is important that before you know some words and phrases so you can communicate.

But if you decide to stay in one place for a long period it is recommended that you learn as soon as you can. There are several ways to do this, for example, while going to visit the tourist places, you can listen to people and learn new words and expressions that are most used, you can also enroll in a language institute and learn quickly with the various programs and activities.

As soon as advances in the development of your learning of the language of your interest, your stay in the place where you will find much better because you can communicate with many people and the chances of finding a good job will increase if that's your goal.

For me it is necessary to practice the language before that you travel .You can read magazine, book, etc or study in an institute for a year or two years and know the basics because when you travel to another country is difficult to communicate. Always to the people the new things is very difficult how learn a other language.. Somepersons don`t try overcome this barrier.. well i'm completly surprised how freyer started, carrying his belongins in his honda civic. about all how he sold his possession to get money, taking photos and putting on ebay to buyers can see the goods but it was with the help of his friends, but even so peolple in general should keep their most important memories.
i thing that buyers find another kind of purchase, diferent and funny i believe, because of that freyer's made famous.
